About LiYEE

Empowering Communities by Strengthening Local Efforts

Liberian Youth Economic Empowerment, Inc. (LiYEE) is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting schools and communities in Liberia. LiYEE’s mission is to support youthfocused community and institutions efforts so they can create more opportunities for learning, wellbeing, and economic participation. Rather than replacing local initiatives, LiYEE works alongside partners to strengthen the efforts that are already creating opportunities for young people, families, and communities.

Why LiYEE Exists

Across Liberia, dedicated schools, nonprofits, and community groups are working hard to support youth, but many face constraints in resources, systems, and longterm support. LiYEE was created to walk alongside these local efforts, surfacing needs, connecting partners, and shining a light on communitydriven solutions that can grow over time.

How LiYEE Supports Communities

LiYEE collaborates with schools, educators, and community organizations to encourage practical learning and community development. Our work focuses on listening to local priorities, highlighting communityled initiatives, and connecting partners with information and relationships that can strengthen their work.
