At Liberian Youth Economic Empowerment (LiYEE), we believe that sustainable change starts with strong organizations. Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words—”Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”—we refuse to be silent about the economic future of Liberia’s youth. However, we recognize that real, lasting impact comes from strengthening the organizations that serve them.

That’s why LiYEE does not work directly with youth. Instead, we empower Liberian nonprofits dedicated to economic empowerment, helping them grow stronger, more sustainable, and better equipped to transform lives for generations to come.

Our Mission

Founded in 2024, LiYEE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to capacity building for youth-serving nonprofits. We provide intensive training, strategic support, and essential resources to help these organizations expand their impact, achieve long-term sustainability, and create economic opportunities for Liberia’s youth.

Through our tailored programs, we equip nonprofits with leadership training, financial management skills, grant-writing expertise, and strategic planning tools—ensuring they can continue their vital work for years to come.

Why We Exist

LiYEE was founded by a group of like-minded individuals who recognized the challenges faced by Liberian youth-serving organizations—including the need for greater resources, enhanced operational capacity, and long-term sustainability. We saw the immense potential of these nonprofits but understood that with the right support and strategic guidance, they could expand their impact and create even greater opportunities for Liberia’s youth. Driven by a shared vision, we came together to bridge this gap, equipping organizations with the tools, training, and mentorship needed to strengthen their reach and effectiveness.
